Legislative and Regulatory Affairs
National and state legislative and regulatory agency personnel make decisions every day that impact the pharmacy profession. From conducting unjust audits to adding new legislation riddled with bureaucracy and unfunded mandates, policymakers can severely impact a pharmacist’s ability to serve patients.
To ensure that the people making these decisions understand the importance of pharmacy and the issues that surround it, the Washington State Pharmacy Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Council (LRAC) was formed. Contributions to LRAC are used to support efforts to educate lawmakers and regulators about the profession’s interests.
The actions of the Washington State Pharmacy Association Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Council (LRAC) benefit the entire pharmacy community. For continued success, we cannot rely on the membership of just a few pharmacy leaders. We need the support of a large constituency to ensure the issues important to pharmacy are advocated and promoted. Please join your colleagues today to ensure that we have the financial resources to achieve our legislative and regulatory goals!
