At the conclusion of this program, the pharmacist and technician attendee will be able to:
  • Identify the current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) interpretation of the definitions in the Controlled Substances Act (CSA).
  • Explain the “Manufacturer” registration process under the CSA and the associated burdens.
  • Identify medically necessary transfers needed to prescribing physicians for office administration.
  • Outline legislative and regulatory efforts to fix the problem.
