Activity Description:
USP <800> Hazardous Drugs—Handling in Healthcare Settings will be enforceable on July 1, 2018. To help compounding pharmacy personnel get started towards compliance, the musts' in each section of the chapter will be separated from the 'shoulds' differentiating what is required versus what is recommended should help pharmacy personnel prioritize and plan for necessary changes.

Objectives:
1. Explain how hazardous drugs are defined by USP <800>
2. Describe required engineering controls and facility design.
3. Identify requirements for policies and procedures.
4. List mandatory components of staff training.

This is a knowledge-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians.
