Presenter: Jena Valdes, PharmD, AE-C, BCPPS and Gabriella Blyumin, PharmD, BCPPS

Jena Valdes, PharmD, AE-C, BCPPS: Pharmacy Education Coordinator - Associate Residency Program Director: Dr. Valdes graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of South Florida in 2006. She then went on to complete a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2010 from the University of Florida and attended the St. Petersburg campus. Since graduation she has completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with a focus in pediatrics at Mayo Clinic in 2011, as well as, a PGY-2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residency at All Children’s Hospital in 2012. Following her residency training, she practiced in general pediatrics and precepted pharmacy students and residents. Dr. Valdes continues to be an active member of many pharmacy national organizations. She has published one article and an abstract in the American Journal of Perinatology and Journal of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, respectively. Outside of work Dr. Valdes is local to the "burg" and enjoys antiquing, restoring old furniture, boating, and going to concerts.

Gabriella Blyumin, PharmD, BCPPS:
Gabriella (Gaby) Blyumin received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. She completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at NorthShore University Health System in Chicago, and after realizing her passion for pediatrics, went on to complete a PGY-2 pediatric pharmacy residency at Children’s National Health System in Washington D.C. She enjoys critical care, general pediatrics, and cardiology and works primarily in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. In her time away from work, she loves to travel, read, spend time with her friends and family (especially her nephew, Max), attend concerts and music festivals, and explore downtown St. Pete.
