Dr. Sarah Scarpace Lucas, PharmD, BCPS, BCPPS will conduct a 1-hour knowledge-based continuing education webinar program on the new PGY2 Standard and new Pediatric PGY2 Goals and Objectives for successful implementation in the upcoming residency year.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Identify commonly cited criteria of program non-compliance within the new PGY2 Standard and suggestions for resolution
2. Discuss the new residency program director and preceptor requirements in the new PGY2 Standard
3. Describe how to incorporate the updated Blooms Taxonomy terminology into learning activities associated with objectives
4. Design updated Learning Experiences for rotations based on the new standard
5. Explain the components of the Required and Elective Competency areas within the new Pediatric PGY2 Goals & Objectives
PPAG has accredited this knowledge-based webinar for 1.0 contact hours (0.10 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacists. PPAG is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. UAN #0180-0000-17-006-L04-P.
BCPPS Recertification Credit is also available for PPAG members if you select that pricing option during registration. Participants will be required to complete an evaluation and pass an exam in order to receive their certificate.

Dr. Sarah Scarpace Lucas Pharm.D. BCPS, BCPPS is a pediatric clinical pharmacist and senior pharmacist supervisor at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital/UCSF Medical Center. Dr. Lucas earned her BS Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed a Pediatric Specialty Residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Dr. Lucas is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Pharmacy and teaches didactically along with precepting students, PGY1 and PGY2 residents. Her primary practice area is the pediatric ICU, however has additional interests in Medication Safety and Management.
