Professor Keith Campbell has been a member of the WSU faculty since 1968, retiring in 2013. He is an active diabetes educator and is involved in numerous diabetes-related activities. He is a past associate dean. He was also director of continuing education for the College of Pharmacy for 28 years, and during that tenure developed numerous unique live and self-study programs.
He was the first pharmacist elect...ed to the American Diabetes Association board of directors and he was one of the 17 founding members of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. He hosted a weekly radio talk show “Ask Your Pharmacist” that ran nationally for just over a year, and more recently he has written for a periodic online blog on diabetes management through http://DiabetesProductSource.com.
“I am so blessed to have Keith Campbell as a mentor not just professionally but also personally. I met Keith when I was a cashier at Finches grocery in Pullman, where he would come into the store with his beautiful wife Pat tell me I should apply to the PharmD program and the rest is history. Keith taught the importance of patient care, the value of supporting your colleagues and the rewards of mentoring back to others. A quote that sticks with me from Keith is "if you don't love or have a passion for what you are doing you will not succeed" after 20yrs of pharmacy he is so correct,” says Leona Beatty-Harrison, PharmD.
