New HCA Policy on Opioids

The Washington State Health Care Authority Releases New Policy on Opioids.

 

On October 1, 2017, a new Health Care Authority (HCA) clinical policy pertaining to opioid prescriptions takes effect for Apple Health (Medicaid), both through managed care organizations and fee-for-service. Read Letter

Please note, this letter updates the information HCA sent to pharmacies on August 25, 2017. If you received the earlier communication, note the changes below under “MED dose limits.”
