Roy Mock is 2017's Bill Mueller Outstanding Mentor Award Winner!

A 1981 graduate of the University of Arizona, Roy has spent much of his career specializing in oncology pharmacotherapy.  Since 2006, Roy has worked in the UW Medicine system, holding the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor with the UW School of Pharmacy.  Roy has precepted numerous undergraduates and PGY1 and PGY2 residents in oncology rotations.  He has also precepted multiple PGY2 oncology resident seminars and research projects. UW Medicine residency classes have honored Roy as their choice for “Preceptor of the Year” several times, including this past year.  Dr. Mock is quiet leader, and demonstrates outstanding practice through his wealth of knowledge and thoughtful approach to mentoring new practitioners.  He has a gentle and compassionate demeanor with everyone he encounters.  Roy is devoted to educating his patients, and helping them to make informed choices that meet their goals as they undergo treatment.  Roy has positively impacted countless patients, pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, and other health care providers.  His contributions over many years make him and outstanding candidate for this award.
The Bill Mueller Outstanding Mentor Award recognizes a pharmacist or technician who has been an outstanding mentor in the field of pharmacy.
