Healthcare is changing. Every day decisions are made which could impact your profession, career and livelihood. There is no way you can possibly care for your patients and make sure your voice is heard. This is where membership in the WSPA is so crucial. Whether the issue is the important role of the pharmacist on the healthcare team or rules and regulations that are excessive and unnecessary, the WSPA Board of Directors and staff advocate for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians as valuable members on the healthcare team in multidisciplinary, public and legislative arenas including the:
Representation in Legislative and Regulatory ArenasWSPA and the Washington State Pharmacy Legislative Affairs Council (LRAC) work to educate lawmakers and other stakeholders to ensure your interests are represented. We are constantly working with the state and national government, employers, healthcare insurers, pharmacy benefit managers and the public to represent the views, opinions, concerns and ideas pharmacists and technicians.
