Connect with Our Members!
Here at the WSPA we believe that
communication is everything. Whether it be getting timely and pertinent
information out to our members or members connecting with other members,
communication is at the heart of what we do. Below are several options
to help you get more involved, informed, and in-tune with all things
As the profession of pharmacy continues to evolve into various practice sites and specialties, the Washington State Pharmacy Association understands the value of networking and collaborating with pharmacists in similar areas of expertise. The WSPA has recently developed practice academies for our members. If you are a WSPA member, there is no cost to joining an academy. WSPA's Academies give you a home to communicate and share best practices with individuals working in similar practice settings.
We believe knowledge is key to change and growth. We keep our members informed about current trends and topics as they become available. Check out the Latest News section of our website to keep up-to-date on the profession.
Get news and updates instantly by joining our social networks! The WSPA utilizes Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter to get information quickly and in real time. Not only do we send information out, social media also helps you connect with other members!
WSPA members receive a free subscription to Washington Pharmacy, our quarterly magazine that brings you the pharmacy news you need.
Our magazine, Washington Pharmacy, continues its service to pharmacy professionals. Our goal for the magazine is to cover both emerging topics and long-standing subjects that are germane to pharmacy.
The WSPA offers a wide variety of events for members and non members to attend. We host three annual events that include CE and a golf tournament:
Each Fall the WSPA hosts an Annual Meeting. On average, approximately 250 health care professionals from all practice settings -- hospital pharmacy, retail, chain, independent pharmacy owners and long-term care attend this event. The meeting features continuing education activities, exhibit hall, and an awards luncheon.
New Drugs New Laws is the perfect way to stay current and tune up your medication and legal knowledge. This CE focuses on the new medications in the last year, and also provides a comprehensive review of new and old regulations and laws to improve patient care. The program is designed for all pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and student pharmacists in all pharmacy practice settings and provides eight CPE hours, including six hours of law.
This event is hosted by the Washington, Idaho, and Montana stat pharmacy associations. The Northwest Pharmacy Convention is the premier annual meeting place for the pharmacy professionals from across Washington, Idaho and Montana. Over the last several years this event has gained popularity and sophistication and continues to grow. Join over 500 attendees as they partake in continuing education sessions, superior networking opportunities, and exhibit hall hours with companies from across the nation.
Each year the Washington State Pharmacy Foundation (WSPF) hosts a Scholarship Scramble to benefit pharmacy students at the University of Washington and Washington State University.
The Student Scholarship Fund has been in existence since 1958. For more than 50 years, WSPF has been providing scholarships to pharmacy students to help meet their rising cost of education. TheWSPF is proud of its student scholarship history and plans to continue it for future generations of pharmacy students.
The WSPA welcomes any organization that would like to exhibit at Annual Meeting or the Northwest Pharmacy Convention. Our exhibitor display program allows representatives to meet face to face with pharmacy professionals in a relaxed and educational atmosphere. In addition to top-notch speakers and continuing education programs, the agendas both events include exclusive Exhibit Hall hours that ensure you get the most out of your marketing dollar.
