These days are strategically spaced to give us maximum impact during the long legislative session. It is crucial we show up in force and make our voices heard, and educate lawmakers about the issues that impact our patients and us! Agenda will be posted soon. Come to Olympia to meet your legislators and educate them on how important your profession is to health care.

2018 Pharmacy Legislative Day

9:00 am Unload buses, Meet inside the Capitol Building, at the top of the steps


9:10 am  Groups Meet around the Capitol Building, develop an initial strategy about who wants to talk about what


9:45 am  Meet on the Capitol Steps for a group picture


10:00 am JAC ABC Room for Welcome, introductions, bill updates and Q&A

                        Dedi Little, Director of Governmental Affairs for WSPA

                        Jeff Rochon, PharmD, CEO of WSPA

                                    Jenny Arnold, PharmD, BCPS, Dir. Of Practice Development for WSPA


            10:45 am Meet in groups to finalize speaking plans, ask WSPA staff questions


11:00-3:00 pm Meet with Legislators


11:30-1:30 pm Lunch in JAC ABC between appointments


11:00 am - 11:30 pm Discussion with Rep. Vandanna Slatter, PharmD, MPA in JAC ABC

Dr. Slatter is the only pharmacist elected to office in Washington State. She will discuss her path to the house, and representing her constituents as well as pharmacy professionals. She knows you have appointments and may be in and out during her talk.


12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Jason McGill speaks with students, Health Policy Advisor for Gov. Inslee in JAC ABC

Mr. McGill has been working in Olympia and on Healthcare issues for many years. He will offer his insight into Washington State Policy and Healthcare. He knows you have appointments and may be in and out.


3:05 pm  Wrap up and debrief, then load up bus and depart Capitol.
