Jared O’Connor, MS, MPH, serves as Washington Poison Center’s Health Education and Emergency Preparedness Specialist. Jared provides poison prevention education, conducts community outreach, and develops and implements public health trainings throughout Washington. In his position he provides “Train the Trainer” education to nurses, educators and health professional on the dangers of E-cigs and Marijuana. Further, Jared administers the prominent medication website, for the purpose of combating the opioid epidemic that is ravaging Washington and other states. His other interests include traveling, gardening and home improvements.


At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
Identify commonly used nicotine and marijuana vaping devices and how they are used
Discuss the potential dangers of vaping nicotine, marijuana and other substances
Describe the chemicals that are present in nicotine vaping products and what research says about the their potential harmful effect upon users

There will be 1 hour of ACPE accredited CPE available for participants. You will be required to attend the full webinar and submit an evaluation with your NABP# and Date of Birth MMDD to order to get credit. WSPA will upload the CE to the CPE Monitor within 2-3 weeks from the webinar.


The Washington State Pharmacy Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a Provider of continuing pharmacy education.
