WSPA Immunization Training: For Pharmacist and Technicians 11-10-20

This activity is designed specifically to train pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students to participate in an Immunization training for adults and adolescents. The content derived from the CDC program "Epidemiology & Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases" are adapted to Washington State specific pharmacy law and practice.

There are three parts to completing the training and each part may have more than one step.


Part 1: Practicum

  1. Watch the practicum video, take the test and submit training (notify WSPA when you have completed the training). This must be completed before the webinar
  2. Register for the gotowebinar for your call-in information.
  3. Attend the live webinar. We will verify attendance through GotoWebinar and you must be on the full 30 minutes to receive credit.
  4. Submit a practice injection attestation form. This must be completed within 30 days of the webinar.

Part 2: Didactic (Technicians need to complete this before the webinar)

  1. Complete the didactic – Technicians will receive 3.5 hours of CE and Pharmacist will receive 14 hours of CE. (notify WSPA when you have completed the training)

Part 3: CPR (No CE, external- on your own)

  1. CPR training is not included in this WSPA Immunization Training. If your CPR card is not up-to-date, please complete CPR training and provide proof of CPR certification to the WSPA. Send certificate to

WSPA Immunization Training of Completion:
In order to receive your Immunization training certificate, you must successfully complete all three parts of the immunization training within one year of the practicum date. The steps do not need to be completed in succession. A Certificate of Completion will be emailed to you upon successful completion of the training. Contact WSPA letting them know you have completed all components to request your certificate via email ( or phone (425.228.7171 ext. 0). This must all be completed within a year of the webinar date.

The Washington State Pharmacy Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
