The Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission (Commission) invites you to review and comment on draft rules developed in collaboration with stakeholders. The Rule Rewrite Project began in September 2017. During that time the Commission filed CR101s  with the office of the code reviser on December 19, 2017 under WSR 18-01-123, WSR 18-01-124 and on April 16, 2018 under WSR 18-09-066, WSR 18-09-063 announcing its intent to evaluate the need for rules.

The goal is to develop rules that are less prescriptive and focus on standard of care and patient safety. The draft rules need to be flexible to allow for the use of innovation in pharmaceutical care with the intent to improve patient outcomes.

Please find links to the draft rule chapters below as well as a crosswalk to help you navigate the changes. Your comments, suggestions, and input is invaluable as we move further through the rule-making process.

The Commission has scheduled two workshops to review the comments and the draft rules. You are welcome to attend in person or by webinar. A one-time registration will register you for both and allow you to attend when you are able.
