Pharmacy Quality Assurance Commission Rule Review Project

Your Help is needed!

The Department of Health has established a formal review process of its existing rules every five years. The goal of the review is to simplify the process and decrease the time required for obtaining licenses, permits, and inspections. This will reduce the regulatory burden on businesses without compromising public health and safety.

The project will include your valuable feedback and Commission guidance on the prioritization of rule revisions until all of the existing 32 pharmacy WAC chapters (277 WAC sections) have been reviewed by mid-2018.

Prior to each regular Commission meeting, rules from the 32 WAC chapters will be selected for review. The Commission wishes to receive stakeholder feedback by providing an “Opinio” survey containing a few questions regarding specific chapters or sections selected for review. Your feedback will then be provided to the Commission. The Commission will review the selected rule, survey results and discuss each rule.

After all the rules have been reviewed, the Commission will prioritize for future rulemaking activities which rules may need to be revised, eliminated, or left unchanged.

So, Don’t Wait!  Just ‘click’ on the links below and provide your valuable feedback.

Comment period ends April 14th, 2017 for these four surveys.
